Hello, my name is Astrid. Before I came to the shelter, I was a pigweed, no one was able to catch me! My best friend Wichura and I ran from house to house, hoping for some treats from the garbage cans. We wandered around the meadows and forests until we started to feel weaker and weaker... finally someone caught us and brought us. My aunts said that we had all the parasites in the world and the diseases they transmit. Now we are running around again, but in shelter runs. We even learned to walk on a leash!
